Luciana Paoluzzi was born Rome and was raised in Rome by her parents. Her father was Manlio Paoluzzi, who was an Italian military officer. Maria Rota Paoluzzi was one of the mistresses of Benito Mussolini. There's no evidence of her having siblings. Luciana attended the local high school, and after graduating in 1955 studied Naval Engineering at the Scientific Academy of Milan. She was the sole woman in her class. Luciana first became fashion models after only two years. Her career changed soon following, and by chance, she got her first acting role as a character in Three Coins in the Fountain. Brett Halsey, an actor himself, was her first wife. The couple also made Return to the Peyton Palace in the year 1960, after having wed. Luciana was granted custody following the divorce. They had a baby boy known as Charles which was born June 1961. Luciana had a long-term relationship with Tony Athony. He was an actor and film producer. Tony was inspired by her role on Green Slime to create the Spaghetti Western.
