Coleman is from Lancashire. Coleman attended Arnold School in Blackpool where she was head of the school and received straight As on her A-levels. If Coleman was asked about her role in Emmerdale she stated that she regrets that she did not have an experience like the traditional one at university. Coleman performed on Crystal Clear at the Edinburgh Festival as part of a group called In Yer Space, which she performed in during her time at the school. Her performance was well-received, and the play was praised by the critics. Coleman was chosen for the Emmerdale part of Jasmine Thomas after auditioning with drama schools. Coleman received two nominations in the year 2007. At the British Soap Awards she was awarded Best Newcomer. Also, at the National Television Awards she was awarded the title of the Most Popular Newcomer. In the British Soap Awards of 2009 she was nominated under the categories Best Actress and Sexiest female and the category for Best acting in a Drama. Coleman was awarded a Television Choice Award nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on March 21st, 2012 that Coleman was going to play Matt Smith as the Doctor's companion after Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and other actors left the series. Moffat has decided to choose her for the role since she seemed to have the best chemistry with Smith. She also spoke faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Since 1987, she's been involved in television and film projects. She is more well-known for her television work rather than films. Eva played many parts on the screen, but two stand out: the Dr. Maria Santos' role in All My Children as well as the role of Detective Natalia Boa Vistas' in CSI Miami. The actress was nominated two "Daytime Emmys" in the first role in both shows, as well as getting an opportunity to explore her musical creativity. Eva is not just acting, but she's an entrepreneur and philanthropist. Her third husband is father of her daughter.
